At Gustave, we are all committed to offering you sustainable products. Since the invention of lithography at the end of the 18th century, art reproduction and printing have come a long way. Today, to meet the challenges of the time, labels and certifications guarantee responsible and respectful production. The different types of paper that we offer you at Gustave are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, an organization that promotes sustainable forestry practices.
Sustainable forest management
While the world's forests are distinguished by their great diversity, a few simple and universal rules can govern their sustainable management. The Forest Stewardship Council has therefore issued 10 principles necessary for obtaining certification. Among them, compliance with high standards in terms of workers' rights and working conditions, respect for and support of indigenous peoples, or the maintenance of biodiversity.
The paper used for the art prints available on Gustave are FSC certified and therefore come from sustainable forest management.
Local and made-to-order production
We have also chosen to print locally and to order, so shipping distances and carbon emissions are limited. Today, we are able to reproduce our art prints in 33 countries around the world, which also allows us to deliver to our customers quickly. This great agility and presence in the 4 corners of the world - we now deliver to more than 100 countries - also gives us the possibility to only manufacture the products ordered by our customers, thus avoiding overproduction and unnecessary waste of paper ■
